SUKHJINDER SINGH RANDHAWA CONDOLES DEMISE OF SENIOR JOURNALIST MAJOR SINGH

Chandigarh, (Raftaar News Bureau) :

The Cooperation and Jails Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today condoled the death of Major Singh (68), the Senior Staff Reporter of Daily Ajit, who passed away today morning at Jalandhar after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.

He was also serving as the General Secretary of the Punjab Press Club, Jalandhar.

In his condolence message, S. Randhawa said that the deceased always championed the cause of freedom of the press in his writings besides the upliftment of poor and downtrodden sections of the society. The Punjabi language and journalism would be left poorer whose cause the deceased always espoused, added S. Randhawa.

Extending his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, relatives and friends of the deceased, the minister also prayed to the almighty to give them the courage to bear this grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
